In 2006, the Livingston Parish Library System celebrated 60 years of service.  Begun as a demonstration library in 1946, it is now a booming 5-branch library system that serves the population of over 130,000 Livingston Parish Residents by providing a multitude of services to its communities.  Here's a brief list of services the library offers:
