Dear Livingston Parish Library Patrons:

While the situation with COVID-19 remains unpredictable, I remain hopeful that we can reopen the library as soon as it is safe for us to do so. In anticipation of that event, a six-phase plan has been put in place that will allow us to resume the regular library services efficiently and safely.

Each phase is expected to last up to about four weeks. The phases are: (1) library undergoes thorough cleaning, library employees return to branches for preparation; (2) select branches open with fewer hours, limited services, and no programs or meetings; (3) all branches open with limited hours and services, and no programs or meetings; (4) all branches open with regular hours with limits on some services and no programs or meetings; (5) limited programming and meetings are allowed with limits on how many are held in each building and on attendance; and (6) full operation with heightened cleaning and distancing protocols remaining in place.

Resuming operations in a structured and patient way will ensure that we can continue to provide library services without further interruptions while demonstrating the highest level of responsibility in serving our community.

In the meantime, our library continues to provide a wide range of virtual programming and electronic services. Please monitor our website and social media accounts for more announcements and activities.

Sincerely,

Giovanni Tairov, Director
Livingston Parish Library
