Celebrate National Library Week!

National Library Week

Celebrate With Us!

Help Livingston Parish Library celebrate National Library Week from Sunday, April 9 –Saturday, April 15! First sponsored in 1958 by the American Library Association (ALA), National Library Week is an annual recognition of libraries, librarians, and library workers nationwide. Many different types of libraries participate in raising awareness about themselves and their services.

This year, the theme of National Library Week is “Libraries Transform.” Livingston Parish Library’s staff invites you to sample all of the resources and events we have to offer. Let us transform and enrich your life through books, events, and more.

For Kids & Teens

Children and teens can celebrate National Library Week at your favorite library branch. Our Youth Services section features games all week! Don’t forget to visit the library on Tuesday, April 11 for National Library Worker’s Day. Staff will dress up as their favorite book characters and kids can guess their identities for a prize.
