The Livingston Parish Library has partnered with Epilepsy Alliance Louisiana to offer a free Epilepsy Seizure Recognition and Response Training session on Saturday, October 3.
This one-hour session will run from 1-2 p.m. at the library’s Denham Springs-Walker Branch, located at 8101 US Hwy. 190, Denham Springs, LA 70726. It is open to ages 18 and older, and registration is not required.
Presented by Epilepsy Alliance Louisiana, this session will teach participants how to recognize a seizure and how to respond safely, giving them the tools and confidence to help in an emergency.
Established in 1977, Epilepsy Alliance Louisiana is dedicated to supporting those impacted by epilepsy in local communities by confronting the spectrum of challenges created by seizures. The organization continues to be an information and referral agency with a “hands on” approach. It is the only agency of its type in the state to exclusively provide outreach, education and advocacy to individuals with epilepsy.
