Whether you’re planning a trip abroad or simply curious about faraway places, the Livingston Parish Library (LPL) has a great way to explore.
LPL patrons can discover the world through Global Road Warrior, a comprehensive international reference database that offers a country-by-country look at culture, customs, history, and language.
Global Road Warrior features 174 country guides, each covering more than 100 topics. It’s a useful resource for anyone planning a trip, researching for school or work, preparing for a business meeting abroad, or simply curious about another part of the world. Each guide answers practical and cultural questions alike, from the usual greetings and courtesies to passport and visa requirements to a timeline of its history.
Global Road Warrior is available in the library and from home with a library card number. Patrons can find it under Travel & Geography in the Databases section of the library’s website at www.mylpl.info.
