eBooks for e-readers (except Kindle) are finally here! The library is now offering access to 1600+ eBooks in PDF format through NetLibrary. This exciting FREE service will be available to patrons during regular library hours within the library as well as 24 hours, 7 days a week from any computer with an Internet connection! Enjoy the convenience of accessing a wide variety of digital books anytime, anyplace! Patrons must have a library card and a Netlibrary account to check out eBooks. Barkly Watson makes his home in the Watson Branch Library, but he’s no stranger to travel! Library patrons of all ages are invited to check Barkly out and bring him along on their vacations! Barkly has visited Paris, Disneyland, Germany, Gatlinburg, New Orleans, Mount Rushmore, Seattle, Texas, and the Ukraine, among other places, and has shared many great adventures with many wonderful friends. Barkly loves to have his picture taken by famous landmarks and road signs, to send postcards back to the library, collect small souvenirs, and help his friends record all their traveling experiences in their traveling journals! In February 2010 Barkly has a big dream...he wants to go to the SUPERBOWL! Contact Ms. Annie at the Watson Branch Library if you can take Barkly to Miami with you!!!

The Friends of the Livingston Library will hold a Book Sale at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch Library on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
The Livingston Parish Library is happy to announce this extremely helpful resource to our patrons. Brainfuse offers live, on-demand online tutoring for students in grades three through college. Library card holders can get instant academic assistance from expert tutors throughout the week, from 3PM to midnight.
