Livingston Parish Library provides one-on-one tutoring for adults in basic reading, writing, and spelling. This service is FREE and confidential for adults 18 or older. Clients set their own goals and work at their own pace. The library supplies all materials.

The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is an international organization that concerns itself with the complex issues of dyslexia. The IDA membership consists of a variety of professionals in partnership with dyslexics and their families and all others interested in The Association’s mission.

Do you know an adult (18 years or older) who would like to learn to speak and read English?  If so, please tell them about the Library’s English as a Second Language program.

Volunteers are the heart of the Adult Literacy Program, and we are always looking for people who want to share the gift of reading.
