There’s going to be a zoo at this year’s Livingston Parish Book Festival!

The Bee Happy Farm and Mobile Petting Zoo, a locally-owned, family-friendly business in Holden, will be on site for the 9th Annual Livingston Parish Book Festival.

Visitors will be able to meet owner Rachel and interact with her family of goats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, emus, and even a tortoise! The Bee Happy Farm and Mobile Petting Zoo was a hit during its Book Festival debut in 2023.

This year's Livingston Parish Book Festival will be held from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Main Branch in Livingston, located at 20390 Iowa Street, Livingston, LA 70754.

First held in 2013, the Book Festival will feature author discussions, book signings, live music, food trucks, games, and other activities. Visitors will also be able to utilize any of the library’s resources and receive free prizes while supplies last.

This is the biggest single-day event put on by the Livingston Parish Library. All other LPL branches are closed the day of the Book Festival.
