National Library Card Sign-Up Month may be over, but there’s still plenty of reasons for patrons to be excited about getting a new library card. In addition to the vast resources the library offers, the LPL is excited to introduce seven new library card designs. The new cards will be available in November at all branches.
First-time cardholders can choose one of the new designs when signing up for a library card. Current cardholders whose card shows visible “wear-and-tear” can also visit their local branch to replace their “worn out” card for a new one, free of charge. The new designs feature various characters and images; including ‘Hootie the Owl,’ the library’s new mascot.
