Monday, September 14, 2020 Livingston Parish Library Public Relations

Beginning the week of September 21, the LPL online catalog will undergo maintenance to upgrade and replace its current system. The transition to the new online catalog interface will be complete on Wednesday, September 30, and will allow patrons to better explore the Library's vast collection of physical and digital items.

Here's what you need to know...

  • Placing a hold via the online catalog will become temporarily unavailable on Monday, September 21. However, patrons will still be able to place a hold on a library item by contacting their local branch.
  • From Friday, September 25 to Tuesday, September 29, access to the current online catalog will be unavailable while LPL transitions to the new catalog system. During this time, patrons will still be able to borrow and return items at their local branch.
  • On Wednesday, September 30, the new LPL online catalog launches, and all online functions will return.

Please note: Patron reading history is not able to be transitioned to the new online catalog. If you would like a copy of your current reading history, please visit your local branch for a printed copy or login to your online account to print and/or save your history by Friday, September 25

During the transition to the new online catalog, all branches will remain open. Additionally, library staff will be available to assist and answer any questions patrons may have. Patrons can contact their local branch, utilize the library's online chat feature, or text an LPL staff member at (225) 396-4LPL (4575) with any questions.
