LPL Summer Reading Program is Back at All Branches!

Summer is here and that means one thing at the Livingston Parish Library... it's time for the annual Summer Reading Program! Adults, teens, and children are invited to read and attend events to earn prizes all summer long.

This year’s summer reading theme is “Tails and Tales” and we're not telling any tall tales when we say we have a ton of programs and events for the entire family to participate in this summer. While we'll still host virtual programs online every week, we're pleased to announce the return of in-person activities and events at all five branches of the LPL. Check out our full schedule of events and performers.

Getting Started! Registering for Summer Reading.

  • Register for an account on the LPL Beanstacks page.
  • Login to your account to begin logging books you've read and programs you've attended this summer.
  • Parents/guardians can register the entire family under one account to log books/events and keep track of the whole family's progress.
    • Based on the individual's age, the Beanstacks systems will illustrate which challenge the participant is eligible to enroll in.

Summer Reading Program will run from Saturday, May 22 - Saturday, July 31.
